Cosmetic Treatments

Watch how we can help you

Invisalign®

Invisalign® is an amazing alternative to traditional metal braces that straightens misaligned teeth or an incorrect bite. Following an in-office digital impression of your mouth, plastic trays are designed and calculated for your smile. When worn regularly with your compliance, they shift your teeth into the correct position. The aligners are comfortable to wear, unnoticeable to others, and removable for easy eating, brushing, and flossing.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made coverings of tooth colored porcelain that are designed to cover the front surface of your teeth to improve your smile. They will be permanently bonded to your natural teeth to enhance their shape, color, length, or size. Veneers can fix gaps between teeth and improve the appearance of teeth that are discolored, misshaped, or misaligned.

Botox

We offer Botox treatments for both cosmetic and therapeutic reasons. Botox can help smooth fine lines of the face and also has therapeutic effects for people with facial muscle pain, TMJ pain, and persistent headaches. Because Botox is a simple, nonsurgical treatment, there is minimal recovery or downtime.

Whitening

Want a brighter smile? At Sweet Tooth, we offer Zoom Whitening and KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching System. The Zoom in-office tooth whitening procedure uses a chairside lamp which can accelerate the bleaching process and activate the hydrogen peroxide whitening gel. The KöR Whitening Deep Bleaching System uses a whitening gel applied at home or a combination of at home and in office applications that, in most cases, produces little to no sensitivity.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a simple, conservative way to improve the appearance of your smile. We first place a tooth-colored composite resin onto the tooth structure that we shape and sculpt to correct flaws in the tooth’s appearance. The composite resin is then hardened, trimmed, and polished to provide a lasting, esthetic smile restoration. Dental bonding typically requires just one visit to our office and involves little to no tooth preparation, so your visit will be comfortable and painless.

Restorative Treatments

White Fillings

A filling is used to repair a tooth that is affected by decay, cracks, and fractures. In just one appointment, the decayed or otherwise affected portion of the tooth will be removed, and the remaining space will be cleaned and filled. Your tooth will then be restored with a sealed, unnoticeable, white colored filling.

Implants

Dental implants are a solution for patients who have single or multiple missing teeth, or for attaching a denture. Dental implants are made to mimic the strength, stability and resilience of your natural teeth. Implants replace the root and crown of a tooth for a long-lasting and natural-looking restoration.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are an alternative way to replace missing teeth. A gap between your teeth can cause your teeth to shift resulting in a change to your bite that could lead to dental disease. Dental bridges help alleviate this problem by using the two surrounding teeth as anchors to hold a false tooth in place of the missing one.

Crowns

A dental crown, or cap, is a restoration that can be used for a number of purposes. One of the most common uses of a dental crown is to restore a tooth that is significantly damaged or decayed. The crown is custom made to fit over the entire tooth, starting at the gum line, in order to restore the tooth to its original shape and size. Dental crowns can be made out of a variety of different materials, but porcelain crowns are popular because they match the natural color and appearance of your teeth. Dr. Gretchen will make sure that the look and feel of your crown exceeds all expectations before you leave.

Digital Impressions

This advancement in dental technology has replaced the traditional ooey gooey impressions taken in a dental office. A digital wand is used to scan the surfaces of your teeth and gums to develop a digital impression. The digital impression is used to fabricate crowns, bridges, implant crowns, night guards, sports guards, bleaching trays, Invisalign trays, partials, dentures and more.

Full & Partial Dentures

A denture is a removable dental appliance created to fill the spaces left by missing teeth and surrounding tissue. Dentures allow your mouth to stay fully functional when one or more teeth are missing. Complete dentures are for patients who are missing all of their teeth, while partial dentures are for patients who are missing a few teeth. Partial dentures prevent other teeth from shifting position in the mouth.

Preventative Dental Treatments

Preventative

The goal of preventive care is to protect your smile from damage caused by tooth decay, periodontal disease (gum disease), and other damaging dental conditions. These services usually include treatments such as dental cleanings and dental sealants. By visiting our office regularly, we are able to detect early signs of damage to your teeth and gums before it becomes more extensive and painful, resulting in less dentistry needed.

Wellness Oral Scans

At Sweet Tooth, preventative care is so important to us that we offer annual complementary wellness oral scans. A wellness scan utilizes a digital wand to scan your teeth, gums, and bite to evaluate the overall health of your mouth and existing dental restorations. We are able to compare scans from year to year and evaluate changes, recommending any therapies/treatments as soon as possible.

Periodontal Therapy

Routine cleanings and visits are the number one way to prevent periodontal disease from progressing. When plaque and tartar build up, the damage to the gums can eventually lead to damage to the bone that supports the teeth. If gum disease reaches more advanced stages, we may recommend a deep cleaning (scaling and root plaining), or possibly refer you to a gum and bone specialist.

X-Rays & Intraoral Photograpy

Digital x-rays offer a detailed image of your entire mouth and also offer up to 80% less radiation than traditional film x-rays. The intraoral camera is an advancement in technology that makes it possible to not only detect the smallest of details, but also show tiny defects to you and record them for later reference.

Dental Night Guard

Grinding is where your upper and lower teeth move back and forth with great force against one another. It can cause teeth to flatten, temperature sensitivity, pain as they wear closer to the nerve, cracks in the teeth, receding gums and eventually loss of teeth. When wearing a custom fit night guard, your bite will have a protective barrier between your upper and lower teeth, preventing additional damage to your tooth enamel.

Oral Cancer Screening

An oral cancer examination is performed to identify any small changes in the lining tissues of the mouth, such as lips and tongue, that may signify the early stages of cancer. The screening is primarily a visual and touch examination that is fast and painless. If any abnormalities are noted, a referral to a specialist may be indicated for a small tissue sample to be retrieved for further testing in a laboratory.
